I enjoy Doc Cash's pictures and sometimes take inspiration from him. I think he's the best wildlife photographer we have here on RugerForum, but he does some great landscapes and still-lifes too.

I don't pretend to be in his same league, but I have fun shooting pics.

Here's a very old barn I saw one foggy morning a few weeks ago, just as the sun was coming up, near Woodruff, Utah.

THAT looks like a house, not a barn.
It might be. It sits on a working farm, so I couldn't get any closer to check it out. (You know, because I feel it's good manners to obey the No Trespassing signs posted along a fence line.)

Anyway, house/barn... tomato/to-mah-to. A neat old building.

Kinda looks like an old house to me also. Gets my mind to thinking if the strong winds came from the backside of the structure and that it is positioned so the upsweeping hill will break the strong winds. It also makes me think defense in that it is on high ground and the hill behind the structure could be covered from the second floor. Or possibly the second floor could see any approach over the crest of the hill. Also note the fence is made of trees or limbs placed verticle side by side. Apparenly from the hay rolls and the fence there is livestock and the downhill slope will help with drainage and keep it from making as bad of a mess in wet weather. I would love to see it and study it over in person.
