As I get older and more feeble, I find that I am not able to handle sharp recoil as I one was. The answer is to reduce powder charges, along with other things. Putting down the guns is NOT an option.

I started looking for an alternative to my favorite, W231, and realized there was tite-group. I had stopped using it several years ago when I started with the 231.

Tite group isn't really case sensitive and gives what I want, clean shooting and accuracy.

Maybe so I will have to start using it again.

I love TiteGroup. I have came up with a pretty darned accurate 44Special load using 240g plated Rainier bullets. The recoil on that is only slightly more than my buddy's Heritage Arms Rough Rider when firing 22Mag loads. Even in 44 Magnum level loadings, TiteGroup gives recoil that is, to me at least, similar to a factory 45acp load in an all-steel 1911.

Are you using recoil reducing grips such as Hogue Tamers?
