Recently, I purchased a Ruger 44 Special Shootists "Mistake gun" Bisley. It arrived a couple days ago. Beautiful 7 1/2" barrel, gorgeous finish on the Ruger medium frame used originally for the Ruger 357 Blackhawk (I believe). I found a small brown envelope in the case stapled and taped shut. Of course I couldn't stand that so I opened it. One spent cartridge. Well, that's it I thought. I've just ruined the collectability. No one will believe the cartridge, in the now opened envelope, is original. I might as well go ahead and shoot it. Wife has grabbed it and will put it under the tree for me for Christmas. She says "shoot it!".
