Odd name.........

I had finished my Bible reading for today and laid my Bible aside. As I did so it fell open at random and a name caught my eye. It was a name I've come across before, and each time with a bit of humor. The man's name was Blastus.

Whenever I encounter this name I think my first thought is that it sounds like a character in Popeye, as similar to Popeye's arch rival, Brutus.

But then my mind conjures up Captain Kirk in a Star Wars episode, holding an alien with his Single Action ray gun and demanding his name.

"Blast us? O.K." Zzzzzzzap!
