A 1A in .35 anything would be great, but a .358 would be a good companion piece to my 99-358---something to look forward to maybe next year. Can't wait to see what the RSI might be.......a stainless/walnut 6.5x55 or .275 Rigby will come home with me by hook or crook if they make it.

I like the fast twist .223 V and I really like the walnut/stainless look. Not sure why the 26" barrel but that ain't a deal breaker.

Looks like I'll be able to check off 3 of my collection wants (stainless - 1V & 223) all with one gun. I'd even prefer black laminate over the poor walnut of recent years.

Thank you for keeping the #1 going Jason!

I like the line-up. Especially the 28" 257! I'd love to see more like it - maybe in 26 Nosler and 338 Lapua!

My favorite Number 1's are H's though, so I'll add my request for D countour barrels in 470 Nitro Express and 50-110 Winchester.

They'll sell everyone of them if they mark them 1 of 250/500/1000 etc. Roll mark it on the bottom opposite of the serial #.

That's fine... if they make it "1 of 7500" so we all get a chance at one. I'm still peeved more 303 RSI's weren't made available.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the "International" model for this year is the KRSI .303British

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give you an update on the status of Number 1's for 2015. Lipsey's will be the exclusive distributor for all Number 1 rifles. We have committed to taking all their production so Number 1's are alive and well! We are slated to have 6 models for this year. I am waiting on confirmation on the calibers to make sure they are a go, and once I get that I will post that info here first. We decided to go with a mix of standard and classic calibers. If all goes well, we might even have a couple of calibers that haven't been done before in Number 1's. Some new twist on standard configurations as well. Once I get some firm product info, I will post all the stock numbers, etc.

Thanks,

Jason
Jason, do you know if foreign orders for No.1 rifles will continue to be serviced directly from Ruger, or through Lipseys?

The No.1 is still popular in places where the 'modern sporting rifle' is utterly impractical/unavailable for hunting.

Oh, and if you were to make the RSI in a 9.3x62, blued steel and walnut I would be ordering one tomorrow.

K1a in 358win. (Better yet, a "B" weight barrel) and the same K1A in 223. Might be tempted to get one of the 1V in 223 and just have it rebored and sights added to make it a 358. I WILL have a 358win #1 one of these days!!!

Rockrat.

I did that to get a 24" barreled .35 Whelen in a 1H profile. This is the Whelen that Ruger should have made in the first place.

While a #1A in 7mm-08 is interesting, the rest really don't do anything for me at all. When told those would be "standard and classic calibers" I was very excited. I realize now I was thinking less common stuff. Gotta admit seeing .30-06 and .375 H&H both surprised and disappointed me. From the business side though, I completely understand the choices.

Now that I look at it, I wonder if Jason meant 26 inches on the 1B barrel, instead of 28?
