NRA Show Display,,,

The last I'd heard it was going to be a RCA "35th Anniversary" display.

Oooh, HAWKEYES! That's more like it!

Come on, Contender, we need pics

Here's a teaser.... 1999 in Tulsa, OK. DJ's display.

I'll bet some of those guns will be included in the RCA Display.

Hey...if some of you guys get to see this display, I'm curious if the other "X" numbered prototypes have a Newport proof on them like X6.

Ok,, I took some pics today,, (finally got time to go there,,when I didn't have to run off.) They are in Miss Penny's camera,, and I'll post some pics as soon as I can.
Lots to see & do there.
Teaser; how about consecutive numbered trio Hawks? #11, #12, #13,,,! Or the prototype 256 on the Blackhawk frame,, or the Super Blackhawk in 256 Hawkeye prototype,, or the one with the muzzle flash suppressor,,,or,,,,!

I put the pics in the Lounge this morning,, and I figured I did good since we got home late last night,, after 4 days of working the Convention,, and I got right on it this morning!
Sheesh,, some folks don't have much patience. :D

Darn't right we don't have much patience! We wanna see the Display!

:D

Thanks to you and MD we have some nice images.

Thanks!

Well "Goollleee Sarge,, I was a sweeping as fast as I could!" (Imagine Gomer Pyle here,,!)
Ok,, I'm properly chastized for not getting pics out friday morning,, right after the show opened,, by finding someone who had a computer,, and figuring out Miss Penny's new camera,, andposting them immediately! :D
Seriously,, I was quite busy,, and with Miss Penny & I driving home & back daily,, (about 2 hours each way,, so we could care for our cats,) I wasn't able to slow down until monday morning.
While I was busy,, I finally got time to relax a bit at our RCA booth on sunday,, visit with a few folks,, and talk to show attendees a bit.
We even did something else there.
My WNC Chapter of the "Friends of the NRA" were selling raffle tickets for a 2009 set of the Guns of the Year. Yes,, the matched pair of Vaqueros. We had secured the last remaining setr from the NRA,, and we'd been selling tickets. Our Field Rep decided to come to the RCA booth to do the drawing. We had an attendee draw the winning ticket. This nice young lady drew a ticket that is sending the last set to New York! Hopefully we'll have pics available for the RCA Journal. Miss Penny took some of the drawing,, as I was behind the counter,, praying for mine to be drawn! Oh well,,, no luck was with me that day!

Ok,, I'm gonna add a few more pics I took.

Here is a pic of Doug Merrill, (NRA Field Rep) conducting the drawing at the RCA booth. The blonde lady is getting ready to draw the winner!

yeah ! that's the guy i talked to.

Nice meeting you and John. and nice display.

Contender, do you get around to any of the gunshows in NC?

Hickory, Asheville (this weekend), Charlotte, Greensboro, Wintston-Salem??

Charlie (Fort Mill, SC)

Yes,, I do try & get to some of the gun shows when I can. If I go to Asheville,, Miss Penny complains. NOT for me buying guns etc,, but because I can't get far inside or go anywhere due to seeing folks I know. I enjoy Hickory when I can get over there. Charlotte,, at the metrolina fairgrounds. As always, time & schedules.
