Now What?

My RCBS .44 magnum dies have a steel spacer to use with the dies when loading magnum and you use the dies without the spacer to load 44 special. I just ran a bunch of 44 magnum brass through the expander die and forgot to put in the spacer. Bullets will snap in so the mouth size is OK.

Am I able to use this brass as is, or should I resize it all, or do I need to do something else?

I would be safe and resize them all. But if you want, why not seat a bullet into a case and crimp it as usual. Then try loading it into your 44 Mag, firearm(s). If it loads OK, and you don't have a problem with to short of an OAL (Bullet falling to far into the case) then I don't see why you couldn't use them as is. It's just not the preferred way to go.

Just use them. Your crimper will take care of the expansion.

The expander plug should go into the case far enough to allow the bullet to seat to the desired depth. If the seater plug went too far into the case you should resize and then run them through the expander die again. ...or not.

I would resize them. They have likely been over expanded. Depending on how deep the expander went, they may not have sufficient neck tension. Resizing is the safe thing to do.

I plan to load 300 grain XTP's at max loads of H110 and 2400 so insufficient neck tension will not do. I will resize them all.

Given that, I retract my previous advice. Yes, do resize them.
