Bond Arms (who have excellent Derringers) have a special edition out.
Nothing unusual there, right? Except they want over $1,400 for it!
Bond Arms are, at least to me, rather expensive, starting at just under
$500, with most in the $550 to $650 range, and a few at $700+.
All for a TWO SHOT pistol (yes, I have . . . . . . one).
They have a somewhat unique feature in that for the cost of a barrel,
(average about $180) you can change calibers. NICE! But I'm not overly
impressed with the four to six week wait for a new barrel.
BUT, you say, they are completely interchangeable.
I've been anxiously awaiting their Boberg replacement (announced about
eighteen months ago). Especially when it is anticipated to be multiple
hundred dollars LESS than Boberg was selling them for!!
AND they have fixed most of Arnie's unique problems!
Unfortunately, it looks like that one is still a year or more out.
And they claim 30K people on the waiting list! .
Oh well.
They MUST have a good product, or people would not pay that much.
