Guys,
Where two separate runs of 9.3x74R rifles made? A 22" and 26" barrelled model?
Cheers...

Chet,
No dice ... turned out to be a custom.

I have torn the house apart looking for that magazine article from many years back I mentioned a few months back ... cant find it! Ron Webb in QLD used to do some weird and wonderful stuff with Ruger's. U/O shotguns converted to double rifles, a 10 shot 44Mag semi-auto, a hand built stainless 10/22 ... just cant find the blasted magazine.
Cheers...

Yes a standard B-26 " would be very nice. My 9.3x74R 22" is very barrel
heavy and has too much steel in the barrel. It handles poorly for me and feels clumsy.

Don't know yet what to do about it. I like to take some weight off the barrel by milling it octagon, doing this I would loose the front sight and the barrel band for the sling attachment.

I do have a 243 26" Barrel that could be rebored. I did that with another
243 B 26" and got it rebored to a 6.5x284 and mashined the barrel octagon. The difference it made in handling is hard to believe. Besides the rifle is a tack driver and very good looking, 3 shots in one hole.
