I got snookered into watching the first episode a couple of nights back.
Absolutely shows the somewhat skewed thought processes of "animal lovers". One of the "victims" while working as a volunteer at an animal park, was attacked by a chimp while cleaning the critter's enclosure. Rather than just smack the chimp with her shovel, she tried to run away. Of course the animal caught her and mauled her. She escaped the pen with the chimp in pursuit and attempted to hide in a shed with another worker. Chimp rips the door off. So now, rather than the non-injured worker going at the chimp with any available tool, she runs away to find a GARDEN HOSE because chimps don't like getting sprayed. By the time the garden hose is deployed, the victim's arm has nearly been ripped off AND THE HOSE DOESN'T HAVE ANY AFFECT.
It went on and on but at no point did anyone take any physical action to stop the attack. In the end, the victim's arm was saved but impaired and no real "blame" was bestowed on the animal for the attack-just being a critter, you know.
