Got this through the classifieds here on this site.. Larry at bowiecorpguninfo was selling a bunch of Ruger rifles and pistols, so I grabbed this one up. I'll more than likely use it for trading stock sometime down the road.

Just got the email back from Ruger.. 3A, 1983 ship date...

I sure love the serial number service they provide...


I bought the rifle thinking that it would make a great trader gun some time down the road, but the more I look at it, the more I want to keep it.. thanks for the complements..... It's the first No. 3 I've gotten, I've looked at several at the shows, but was holding out for a .44 or 30-40 (I'm still looking at the other one Larry has..lol..)...

I am happy with the RST4 signature I got from Larry. I must of missed that #3 on his list or I may have had to have it as well. Probably a good thing though, as I still had funds to buy the Redhawk that came up soon afterwards.

The No. 3 is .44 Mag was a relatively small production run. It is a very collectible rifle. I have one, too. Congrats on acquiring a very desirable Ruger.
