So I guess I've been on a Single Six kick lately. I'm 73 and live in San Diego. At one time I had a stainless Super Single Six but foolishly sold it. About six months ago I ran across a Bisley Single Six in 32 H+R Magnum for a super good price and had to have it. 6 1/2" blued w/fixed sights that came with a box of goodies(new Redding dies, lots of projectiles,Starline brass, and a receipt from Hamilton Bowen detailing a action/trigger job, free spin pawl, Belt Mtn base pin etc). I'm getting too damn old to chase and pick up 9mm and 45ACP brass haha. Last week I came across a 1968 OM Single Six in original box w/spare 22 Mag cylinder in the red bag, owners manual, the waxed paper etc. It has the 5 1/2" barrel and I really like the 3 click lockwork system and won't be converting it. Only thing I'd like to have for the OM is a unmolested hammer pivot screw(someone buggered up the screw head by tightening the hammer pivot with the wrong screwdriver bit). It functions fine but the buggered screw head is annoying to look at. I don't think any work was done inside the gun cuz the grip frame screws are pristine.....doesn't look like they have ever been touched. Currently shooting various 22lr ammo looking for most accurate ammo that shoots to POA with the fixed sights. I need to quit buying these things but kind of have a itch for one with a 4 5/8 barrel haha

Never have touched any of the screws on mine since I bought it new 66 years ago…..except for the ejector rod housing screw which had shot loose in the early 1960s. Used the correct size screwdriver on it once, and no problems since.Hate to see any nice Old model with ANY "boogered" screws, that is NOT "character"
Kudos to you on your Single-six purchases. In my 60 years of buying, trading, and selling guns I have owned several Single-six revolvers.
A used 3-screw model with 5 1/2 inch barrel.
A new 3-screw model with 5 1/2 inch barrel.
A new model stainless steel Hunter model with 17M2 and 17 HMR cylinders, 7 or 7 1/2 barrel, can't remember which.
And last a LNIB Super Single-six blued steel with 4 5/8 inch barrel.
The only one I have left is the last one, the Super Single-six. My only regrets is not keeping at least one of the old model 3-screw revolvers. The Hunter would probably have been one I should have kept as a potential investment, but for shooting it was just God awful heavy. The only one that would tempt me to buy now would be either an old model with either a 4 5/8 or a 5 1/2 inch barrel or a stainless steel Super Single-six with a 4 5/8 inch barrel. On the last one I would not care whether it was a convertible or just .22 LR model.

Pic above is the OM .22 I just bought. It's a shooter not a collector. The grip frame finish was dinged up a little so I stripped the black adonized with easy off oven cleaner and fine steel wool then polished by hand with Mothers Mag polish and well.....I kind of like it
