New SR22 - takedown lever/slide lock open when firing

Purchased new SR22 in October 2016, but only recently fired it for first time. Within 24 shots, the takedown lever opened and the slide locked back and up 4 times.

I thought Ruger fixed the faulty lever from the factory back when it was a new problem a few years ago. This is a new gun from 2016. How common is this problem now?

While I'm not questioning that there may be a mechanical issue, I will note that the controls on the SR22 are quite close to the grip. After handling mine just now, I can see where it might be possible to inadvertently manipulate the slide lock while firing(especially with bigger hands/longer fingers).

The way the TD lock switch is closed, it is impossible to flick it open without deliberately prying it from the side groove with a fingernail or screwdriver. I'm sure I didn't touch the lock myself, and 2 other people also fired and it happened to them as well. Twice for me, once for each of them after few shots.

Disappointed. Just a couple dozen shots. Not even 100. Reading other experiences, they had this problem after a few hundred shots.

I've got nothing else. We have two of this model and haven't seen this malfunction.
I was able to pop the TD latch open during handling by intentionally poking around the trigger guard with the index finger of my support hand. Since this seems fairly easily replicated, I'm sure Ruger will address the problem.
