A Local Dealer had a "Ruger Days" last weekend and I picked up a new Single Nine.
Got it home and gave it a good cleaning and noticed threading in the top strap above the forcing cone. Looks like they threaded the frame for the barrel, and went a little too far? I don't have a Single Six, or Single Ten to see if that's how they are done? If you look in the pic below, there are three thread marks above the forcing cone. Since it is only a 22 Mag, I'm sure it's safe to shoot, but it just seems odd to me. Anyone else have a Single Nine that could check to see if theirs is the same way?
