Saw a snippet of the new Ruger version of the Marlin 1894 lever action 44 magnum rifle on display at the shot show. What caught my eye was the forearm wood. It was the "old style" with the barrel band like my 75 model. I was wondering if anyone went to the show and ask the Ruger Rep about the barrel twist rate. Did they keep the 1/38 or change it to the 1/20 as used in the Ruger model 96, 77, and number one rifles in 44 magnum?
