first year SR1911 and an early 1917 Colt............ 8) :roll: :wink:
 
My all time favorite is the Argentine M1927 'Colt contract' version. That particular rendition was built at the Colt plant on a 1911A1 frame while utilizing a lot of the older 1911 features. All in all, about as close as any 'out of the box' 1911-type pistol has ever gotten to being perfect for my needs.

Just my .02 ...and certainly not meant to down play the OP or his two guns, which are both really-nice weapons in their own right.
