Found this forum while searching online for a date of mfg of an old Ruger Blackhawk that I have owned for many years.
We had a house fire about 35 years ago, and this ole pistol got a little scorched. I am looking at maybe refinishing it, and buying some new grips for it. It has wood oversized grips right now, and my 75 year old hands might like a standard grip better, not sure.
Seems like I need to know the year of mfg if I ever want to look for parts for it also. It fires fine, hangs on my headboard in it's holster, where it has lived for years.
