Bought new at gun show. Loaded cylinder which then would not close. Took out one shell and closed with a little fiddling but trigger did not move and neither would the cylinder. Closer inspection revealed recoil shield surrounding firing pin sticking out a little and catching on the rim of the case which prevented cylinder rotation. Called Ruger customer service and they contacted UPS who picked it up the next day (a week ago). Anyone else had this problem? I expect a satisfactory resolution will occur.

Have not heard of this problem with the LCR's. I have the 22 and 38 LCR's and no problems. I would imagine you should have a repaired or new gun shortly. Lately depending on the problem, Ruger has been just replacing some guns with a new one. Either way I am sure they will take care of you as you have noted. Good luck.
Just curious, did you buy from a dealer or an individual at the show?

I bought a new one and it had a defect, so sent it back. They said they couldn't fix it so sent me a new one. I had to pay my gun shop 30 bucks to get it. The new one had the same problem that yours did so I sent it back. They said they couldn't fix it and would send a new one. I called Ruger and told them I didn't want another one, so how about sending me a new ruger scout rifle. She put me on hold and came back and said if I would let her put 258 dollars and some odd cents on my credit card that she would send me the new scout. A couple days later I got the scout. I actually have 2 other LCR.s. One is a 38 and the other is a 22. Havn't had any problems with them. I am sure Ruger will make it right for you. :)
