I bought this new stainless lcp at my lgs this morning for 215 dollars out the door. I had 3 other lcp's including the lcp custom. After checking the trigger pull on the new one and the custom I decided the custom had better trigger pull. So I changed the slides out since I would be carrying the stainless one the most. Went out in the yard and fired quite a few rounds through each and they didn't miss a beat. So i'm happy.

Check the date as to when it was manufactured by the serial number.

I thought the older type LCP had been discontinued. There's one for sale at my LGS. 🤔
LCP version 1 (with hyphenated serial number) was replaced by version 2 in 2013 (no hyphen). Version 2 had slighly better sights and a slightly better trigger. These are DAO concealed-hammer fired guns. Cycling the slide partially cocks the hammer. Version 2 is still produced today.

The LCP II appeared in 2016, a single-action concealed-hammer fired gun. Cycling the slide fully cocks the hammer. They had the "trigger safety", better sights, and held the slide open after the last round (with LCP II magazine). At some point Ruger stopped making these in .380 and now they are in .22LR only.

Note the different extractors in your photo. I had a 10th anniversary model that stopped extracting. Ruger replaced the slide and barrel with the longer extractor.

Just looked at my LCP II and it has the smaller ejector. I replaced the trigger (now a lot smoother) and also removed the smaller (inner) slide return spring to make it easier to rack and have fired it numerous times and had no problem.
