new LCP II

New LCP II using HV ammo slide locks back before mag is empty...is this a common problem when gun is new and not broken in?

I have shot many many rounds of different manufacturer through my LCP II, from day one,and never had the problem you experienced.

My new LCP II did this as well. It turned out thumb was riding up on the left side of the gun and engaging the slide lock. I adjusted my grip and the problem went away.

Hasn't been a problem with mine. Agree with the post above: check that your grip isn't causing the issue.
