This my first from Barranti. Looks and feels good with Ruger in place.

I love it!

Not being a fan of tooled leather, I find plain, smooth beautiful!

I would, if it's not too much trouble, like to see the back of the holster too.

Thank you!!

I love the beauty in the simplicity. I also do not care for dying good leather black. If that were my holster, I would go to the trouble of soaking it to a custom fit. It is worth the time and work.

Mike is definitely one of the good guys.

Very nice. How long was your wait?

Just under two weeks.

Excellent. I broke down and ordered a Direct line Northwest Hunter for my Single Seven last week and am eagerly waiting for it. After that one comes in I might order a custom and deal with the long wait.

In my 45 or so years of handgunning,,, I've had, used, worn out, torn, modified just about all types of holsters. I've had name brands, & off the wall stuff. I even learned how to do a bit of leatherwork as an older teen & on into my 20's. By far,,, I think Doc Barranti is about the best gun shuck maker I've ever run across. I own 5 of his shucks, and my favorite is a custom NW Hunter rig.
Luckily, we can rest assured we'll have his stuff around for a while,, as he's teaching the trade to his son.
Oh, and for those who haven't heard,,, Doc got his nickname because of a comment made by Skeeter Skelton many, many years ago; "Next to my Doctor,,, my holster maker is the most important person I know."

I want to go on record - This is my 1st Vaquero and 1st Holster - I had to have something to start my quest for a acceptable method of carry.

I've been looking and amazed at the prices and needed a starting point.

$24.99 + 3.75 Shipping - It could make a good pattern if it fails to hold up.
