Now, just because you CAN don't mean you need make a habit out of it. Your wrists (or thumbs) may remind you on a regular basis when you get older of your transgressions with heavy loads.

There isn't much the basic Keith load won't do in these parts, and it makes a 37 ounce BH stand right up. Actually, the (old fashioned and obsolete??!!!) Keith bullet at 950 does the job, too. Much easier to take over the years than many of those loads published out there....

Have fun, but be careful.

For the most part I shoot standard loads through my 5 ½ Ruger BH Convertible. They consist of a 255gr lead SWC, 8gr of Unique, and WLP primer. Occasionally I'll shoot 300gr JSP using a maximum charge of 2400, in a new case that I worked up to, per the Sierra reloading manual. With the gun sighed to shoot to point of aim at 25yards with standard loads the 300gr loads shoot about 3 inches higher at the same range. IF YOU ARE SHOOTING HOT LOADS FREQUENTLY CHECK AND TIGHTEN YOUR BLACKHAWK'S SCREWS!
