Need some sight help

I'm going to clone Ross Seyfried's famous "buffalo gun" Seville. I plan on talking with both John Linebaugh and Ross himself, but am curious on the front sight. I've been told it's a modified No.1 or altered Ruger 77 post. Can anyone here confirm?

It is in the style of a Ruger but without seeing a front view hard to say for certain. The Rugers used a band base but the sight blade was separate and slide in from the front. The sight pictured looks to be all one piece. If it started life as a number one sight it was shortened reshaped and the blade welded on would be my guess. Would think there are better starting points.

That's what I'm thinking. Folks swear Linebaugh used a No. 1 sight, but this looks much different than a Ruger post. If it is a No. 1 assembly John heavily altered it. Now I do know the band he used was pure No. 1.
