Need a grip locator pin

I needed one for a Redhawk. Called Ruger and they got me one out right away. No charge. Also, S&W recently sent me a hand torsion spring for a K frame for the same price. That is customer service that will be remembered.

Or go to your local hardware store (Lowes, Home Depot) & buy a 1/8" x 1" roll pin for about 25 cents & fix it today.

This works fine.

Before you install the roll pin into the grip frame, try both ends of it in the locating holes in the grip panels. Sometimes the pins have sharp edges on the ends, and forcing the panels over the pins on the grip frame can split the panels. The pin should just nicely slip into the panel holes, and this will also make it easier to start it into the grip frame.

A few strokes with a file or even some emery paper can prevent a lotta grief.

JMHO

:)

PS I'd check the ends of a "factory" pin, as well.
