I posted this on my FaceBook page:

Last night in Memphis, a robber was shot and killed by a store owner/employee. It's about time the citizens of Memphis stood up for themselves and hopefully put an end to this siege of crime that has befallen us. Our police departments have demonstrated time and time again that they cannot protect us, and our courts and prison system don't give a care about the citizenry. Its too bad some one has to die, but better the criminal than the victim. It doesn't take a conviction to be a criminal. We are rid on one such criminal.

Hence the term law enforcement; not crime prevention.

Every time I hear a story like this (a criminal getting shot), I think their own actions and aggression determined their fate. I also think they got exactly what they deserve.

The duty of law enforcement is to draw a chalk line around the corpse and determine who committed the crime, not to protect you. Liberal judges are more responsible for your lack of safety than law enforcement.

They are not there to serve and protect, they are there to take the report after the fact. I respect police officers but know they can't be every where at once.

Getting shot is the job hazard of armed robbery. They chose to take the risk and the odds weren't in their favor. If you don't want to get shot, don't stick guns in people's faces and demand money. If you do stick a gun in someone's face and demand money and someone is a little more willing to shoot, you are not a victim you are an idiot. Stupidity should have consequences.
