I was n the pbine with my pastor this morning. There were two members who died last week and I was asking about funeral arrangements. In the course of conversation he remarked the young girl who died had no arrqangements and the family was scrambling to make funeral arrangements.
I tpld him my funeeral was already paid for and I had left instructions for him as to my service.
He said, in effect, "I'm looking forward to preaching your funeral."
I said nothing for a few seconds for his remark to sink in............
I have an ongoing thing with him about his being able to preach at my death. (He's young, just over fifty.)
