The "Initials" thread brought up a question on my bows so here is a short answer. (honest it is)
As a kid (and adult) I loved anything that launches a projectile, slingshots, guns bows etc... Archery, and bowhunting in particular caught my eye. I am so much a bowhunter that one time I let an 8 point pass because he as too far at 35 yards, while I had a Blackhawk 45 Colt on my hip. It never occurred to me to shoot him, until after he was long gone the DOH! thought hit me.
Anyhow, bows took up my life until I was of legal age to own a handgun. Then my priorities switched to handguns. After about 15 years they started flipping back and forth until now they are roughly equal and get equal time.
I was asked for pics of my bows, and that would be like asking many of you for pics of your Rugers. There just isn't enough film. That said, here is current stable of shooters. L to R, Bear 50th Anniversary A (short) riser, 50th B (medium), Rose Oak Heritage, Original Bear 1967 B riser, another 50th B
On top of that I also designed, make, and sell the premier arrow cresting lathe to make fancy arrows like this.
The Spinrite Crester. Standard 10" and Magnum 20"
Early model crester with an arrow in place. The crested lines match the bar code so well it reads on a scanner as the product the label came from. As the arrow spins you apply paint for the colored bands.
