I figure every revolver fan needs at least one top quality holster. Until a week ago, I didn't have one, but I'm now the proud owner of this beautiful piece by Mike Barranti. It's his No. 5 model, in saddle tan, with fish scale stamping and a hammer thong.
I think it was designed for a standard Blackhawk, but it also fits my 50th anniversary .357 flattop beautifully. (Other than the grip frame, the differences between these models are negligible.)
I couldn't be happier with the holster, and I'm looking forward to a lifetime of service from it.
With some accessories, including a neat little handmade skinner I picked up last weekend.
Now, for those who want to prove your Ruger savvy, see who can be the first to point out what's wrong with the last picture, i.e. what is horribly inaccurate. I know the hat is not an authentic western piece; neither is the Blackhawk when you think about it. I'm looking for something more insightful than that.
