I decided that since I have been using the same computer for ten years
now I should look at a new one. - - - YES - - - I am staying with Linux,
but am also looking at downsizing. Found (yet again) a small (about
two inches by three inches) quad core processor (four CPUs that run in
parallel), relatively slow (1,400Mhz clock speed), but with touch screen
access.
BEST part is that . . . complete . . . it costs less than $100. YES, you
read that correctly, less than one hundred dollars, with 64Gig "hard"
drive (actually a micro SD card). Now for those of you that are thinking
"64GIG!" I'll relate that I have used 33.6 Gig on my main system, and
a LARGE amount of that is in images. - - - Yes, I remember that winderz
takes more than 64 Gig for the operating system alone. Linux doesn't.
For any that have even the smallest interest, it is the Raspberry
Pi 3B+ (make sure you get the B+ if you do this) and it is from the UK.
Actually, I am going to use the Pi for an interface between one of my
Ham Radio units and the internet.
