IMO It's balanced pretty good.
Off hand I don't know the weight but it's definitely a handful.

I had a SRH in 44 mag in the same configuration. It absorbed recoil very well!

It's Ruger's Target Gray finish. I never really like the looks of the SRH. But It definitely grows on you.

Once upon a time, I hunted with one, which I toted in a Bianchi Ranger 4100/4101 H.U.S.H. ( HUnting Shoulder Holster ) cross-chest bandolier Cordua nylon holster.

When I was actually hunting, with the gun in my hands, or on a tree stand, I simply slid the holster around to the back of my shoulder, so it's wouldn't interfere with handling/shooting.
