My first round-butt attempt.

Always wanted to try my hand at doing a round-butt on a Blackhawk but my guns were too new to experiment on, we'll I got this old new model from my daughter and out of the blue…I just started doing it.

Very Cool first shot! I like the feel better and have done several.
But,,,,,, don't put your tools away yet.
The curved back works and blends SOOOOO much better with flatbottomed grips. Plus it makes them easier to hang onto.
Time to make some or acquire some and fit to the grip. :)

NICE JOB!!! ,,, isn't it amazing how removing that little amount changes things up.

I aquired a flattop from a fellow member here for a 41 Special build. He had done this same RB to a XR3 grip frame. My plans were to use a brass Bisley grip frame for the build.
A 41 Special custom (Harton/ Keith #5) that I always admired came up for sale and that scratched the itch, kinda sorta…🙄

Being board one weekend picked up the RB grip frame to clean it up and send it off for Cerakote, game back and have really liked the look & feel.

Cleaned up, Grip Panels fit & finished, ready for the Cerakote.

Back at test fitted on the build frame. I really like like the feel.
