Picked up a .45 acp LC Carbine last week, first one I have owned. Looking forward to the weather getting nicer so I can try it out. A guy ordered it and then decided he didn't really want it so I bought it from him. Plus factor is I had 2 - 13 rnd Glock G21 magazines for sell (I picked them up cheap when I bought a whole bunch of mags from a customer) so I don't have to sell them now. Not sure what optic (probably a red dot) I'm going to put on it. Any thoughts/opinions about the carbine and optics?

I've had that model for about a year, and love it. Rather than ramble on about how it's set up, I'll just post a pic. Click to enlarge.

Don't know if you've watched this review, but good info on ammo for this gun.

Here's a pic of mine with a Leupold 1.5-4 hogplex scope. Also replaced the folder with Magpul stock and buffer tube. It also has an X300V light on the other side of the forend.

I kept the folder, but put a Vortex Strikefire II Red Dot on it. They are a blast to shoot. I also picked up a couple of the 32rd Glock mags for it.

And a Glock 41 for a companion piece.

Thanks for the photos. I'm still fiddling around with mine to decide what I want to do. I did put a larger angled foregrip on it and can hold the grip or use the grip to position my hand if I hold the forearm. I have 3 - 13 round Glock mags for it but I'll probably pick up a 32 rnd at some point. I also have 2 different .45 suppressors to see how they do. I think it's going to be a fun shooter.

I love mine! I had only read about them, never handled one and was very impressed with the lack of plastic, oops, polymer 😉 and just the general quality and balance.
I look for Ruger to offer it in 9mm one day.
Probably really hurt their 9mm carbine sales though.

They might build a 9mm LC, but it would not have the performance of the .45 or 10mm, and 9mm carbines are a dime a dozen - everyone makes them so the competition is pretty stout in that market.

I like it, now I just need a few people to buy one in my area and get tired of playing with it so I can buy it at a steep discount...lol

I really like they way mine shoots and it is so balanced over the center of the rifle. I haven't decided on which red dot yet as I've had fun just with the iron sights. I too had some extra G21 mags sitting around and I bought several of the Kriss 17-round G21 mag extenders...for a total of 30 rounds. They work great in my LC Carbine. Just in case you'd like to check them out, herer's a link to them: Midway USA: Kriss Mag Extender Kit
