"My, Didn't It Rain"

Had considerable rainfall Wednesday and Thursday hereabouts. The Wolf River, which sort of circumvents Memphis, rose twenty five feet during that time. And Riverside Drive, a scenic drive in Memphis, was closed due to mudslides. Some folks in nearby communities are being rescued by boats from their homes.

One soul used his cell phone camera to capture fish swimming across a normally dry road. (Yeah, I know: "Why did the fish cross the road?")

There were no dams breaking, just that much rain fell in such a short time. Fortunately, we are high and dry. Hope other folks here can say the same thing.

It has been updated to over 20 inches. Flooding on a scale I have never seen in 62 years of living in Louisiana. No parish in North Louisiana has been spared
