In light of some of the music threads recently, hopefully this will be a good one. Had a chance to see Joe Bonamassa live a few weeks ago.
I KNOW people on this forum wouldn't like some of my metal favorites but Joe might be ok....

Been wanting to see this guy for a while now. I/we are big fans of the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, and have been waiting for a time when we can coordinate things and see him there.

Oh he’s one of the greatest. Child prodigy. Toured with BB King ( at Kings request ) when he was age 12.
Years ago Jane Pauley had a TV show that featured Joe when he was in high school.

Child prodigy.

He truly is good. I've seen a YouTube of him jamming with Derek Trucks, another child prodigy (and great-nephew of MLB pitcher Virgil Trucks). Trucks frequently stands in with The Allman Brothers band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and has played on a recurring basis with Eric Clapton, etc. His specialty is the slide guitar, which compliments Bonamassa's more traditional skills. Together they are fascinating.

Yeah, you’ll see all the guitar greats at the Crossroads Guitar Festivals hosted by Clapton. Proceeds go to fight drug abuse I think.

Clapton, Trucks, Mayer, BB, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Vaughn, Beck, Winwood, Buddy Guy, ZZ, Cray and dozens more.

Derek is also the nephew of Butch Trucks(RIP) one of the drummers and founding member of the Allman Bros Band. I never knew the baseball connection, cool.

Saw Derek only once, in 2015 at Eric Claptons 70th birthday tour at MSG. Derek played slide on Layla which Duane originally played of course.
Jimmy Vaughn, John Mayer were also there. Fantastic show.

I saw some great concerts at Red Rocks. I lived just over the hog back, outside of Morrison for a little over a year. Fantastic place for music under the stars. Unbelievable acoustics. Bonamassa would be a real treat.

Red Rocks should top your list. Saw Mark Knopfler twice there, unbelievable acoustics - it matters not where your seats are, the place is beyond all expectations.....

Having just started learning acoustic guitar and being a Bonamassa fan, this one is really impressive and RC44 it’s from Royal Albert Hall.

The tough part is going to be learning the Bonamassa guitar faces. When you get that down be sure to post a video.

He has been here in Des Moines twice and tickets were way over my budget. Would love to see him live.

I have been to exactly one concert. Willy Nelson at Ripken Stadium. It started raining during the first song. ... I left. My eldest son, just last week, sent me some photos with Chris Frantz and Naomi Judd from a concert in Florida. Chris and my boys played "noise" in my driveway many many years ago.
