Stainless 4 5/8 Bisley Flat Top Mid Frame 357/9mm Conversion
Got some new distributor exclusive revolvers in from Lipsey's recently, and decided to do something special with a couple of them that have tight cylinder gaps. This is a .357/9mm Flat top that Lipseys sells with the thinner width XR3 grip frame. I converted this one to Bisley with new factory parts from Ruger and some of the good old wood grips. The grip frame is squared and blocked to the cylinder frame and satin finished in the Freedom Arms style with the grip frame rather than across as factory Rugers are done. A proper grip spacer has been fit to the width of the grip frame to preserve the grips. The hammer and trigger pins have been trimmed to mate properly against the cylinder frame. The trigger is a stand out on this one, and it's stock. I was going to do a spring job, but it doesn't need it. It's as close to perfect as a stock trigger can be as is. Throats on the .357 cylinder are a consistent .358". The cylinder gap is .005". The cylinder gap on the 9mm cylinder is .008" This is one of those you get done with and then don't really want to sell, but, that's what I built it for, so figured I'd put it on here to see if anyone needs one before I run an auction. I will be taking a full round of pics of this one regardless for reference whether it goes to auction or not, so If you want it, but want to see all the way around just holler and I'll email the rest of the pics once I get that done.
