More dumb ways to die

Not long ago bought a 365x and got the safety version. I have no problem flicking on/ off an ambi safety. Sure don't want to shoot my junk or other important things I'd like to keep attached.

Curious to know what the guy was carrying, just because?

Years ago Crappy DA/Striker triggers were the safety. Now we have Striker Fired guns with sub 4lb triggers and no Separate Safeties. IMO that's like carrying a cocked 1911 with the grip safety taped down and the other safety off!!!

I carry a S&W M&P in .40 with the safety. I can hang it on a coat hook in the mens room without blowing up the ceiling. Beside that I carried Colt 1911's for so many years the manual of arms is second nature.

The main difference is the Smith is 6oz. lighter than the Commander with 15 rounds instead of 9 .38 Supers.

Years ago, when I was younger and maybe a little dumber, I learned to drop the clip out of a .45 before releasing the slide, and to count your shots. I shot a clip, released the slide, pointed the gun up (I had a little sense), pulled the trigger and to my surprise the gun went off. Something was wrong with the clip. One shot learning experience.

It might have worked better if you used a Magazine???

The function of a word isn't to communicate a message. If the message is understood then the word has worked.

Pretty sure you know what the bullet holding thingy, er, I mean the cartridge holding thingamabob is.

Of course I do, been shooting pistols and rifles all my life using a clip, or EXCUSE ME, a magazine....

Time to get back on track. I had an acquaintance a number of years ago that was on a black powder hunt. He grabbed his rifle by the barrel to pull it out of the truck, need I say more?

Oh heavens. Not clip versus magazine again. If anyone didn't understand that the bullet holding device from a 1911 is the part Jory was taking about raise your hand!!!
I had a car come and deliver 5 yards of bark dust.

Well you know...

Clip = Magazine
Jory = Joey

It happens....:rolleyes:

although it sucked for the guys in boot who said "clip" :ROFLMAO: and did push ups saying "1-magazine 2 magazine 3 magazine" as count offs.....Some never got it out of their heads and even miffed it up first day on range in SAMI school after a few days of classroom instruction....only this time it was pushups on the gravel parking lot. :ROFLMAO:

Also failure to proofread. ;)
One reason there used to be proof readers is that it is very easy to overlook your own mistakes. The mind often sees what it expects to see. I often read my posts a few minutes later and end up editing them. But sometimes I either don't give a darned or am too busy. On that particular post, I just didn't give a darned.

S-u-u-r-e. Yeah!...That's it!...That's the ticket! :rolleyes:

Myopic tendency......we all fall prey....especially when typing/texting ;)
