Mob week

I see AMC is doing a week of mob movies, so I thought I would throw in this little tribute to the guys who fought the mob. This jacket belonged to the father of my first firearms instructor. His dad was a detective with the NYPD's Organized Crime Control Bureau.

That is a cool coat. I thought La Costa Nostra didn't exist...

If you get a chance watch the anniversary DVD edition of Goodfella's, with the Cops -N- Robbers voice-over. The real Henry Hill, and IIRC the real guy who prosecuted him do the voice over. Very eyeopening, Mr. Hill made some very candid and eyeopening statements. The other gentlemen who is giving the cops voice over had a bit part in the film, as the agent/officer discussing the witness relocation situation/terms with Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco.
