A friend of mine bought a MKIII-6 standard a few days ago and it was drilled and tapped from the factory. The nice people at Ruger spent some time trying to find out just when they started D&T the standards and best they came up with was sometime in March. I dont have his ser# on me but his was "born" in the last week of March.

I was just wondering if anyone else has info on one made before then?

Chet.. I will PM you his #'s later today for your records if you want them.

Hmmm, that's interesting! Never would have figured they'd start doing that on the standards, but doesn't matter what kind of barrel or sights you have on a pistol if you have a scope on it.
Yep...sounds like a running line change so I'll need to have everybody give reports on the highest known Mark III standard without D&T and the earliest with D&T.
