lupin, welcome to the forum, need to know just which model of MK II you may be asking about, big difference in "material & setup"......could run from around $200 for the 'standard auto' and up to $400 for the competition model, stainless ,with all the accessories.............ANY of the MK IIs are still our 'favorite'........
the dealer said they thought it was a Target model Mark II with a close to 7" barrel, no information yet on if it's stainless/bull barrel/scoped or anything. Since it'll be on consignment they're digging around now but they said it'll probably be around $250 from what they heard.
The other place that I saw had a Mark II(I hadn't talked to the second dealer when I first posted) had a medium length barrel(Not short, but not close to 7" either.) was blued, not much info but I saw that the bolt where it was blued was scratched pretty badly in horizontal lines going the length of the bolt like from wear. It had a hard case and a second clip and was for $301 probably not including registration.

If that first one turns out to be a MK678, its worth that $250. That's my favorite version of the MKII line, as far as balance goes. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on that.

I got it. blued Mark II target with a serial starting in 221, from beginning of the barrel to the back end of the bolt its 11" but it does not have a Ruger symbol on the back of the bolt
EDIT: It's a Heavy barrel too from what I've gathered, not a bull and bigger than tapered.
EDIT EDIT: I was trying to field strip it to make sure everything looked good, but I couldn't get that main spring housing I believe it's called, out!
It would pull down enough to not be flush with the barrel and didn't want to come out, but it would go back up into place with a bit of a "pop". The piece internally also moved so it wasn't able to open up the chamber, I wiggled that and now the bolt goes back and forth but I'm still puzzled a bit. The gun has extremely little wear. no scratches and looks pretty good so I don't think many shots at all were ever put through it.

You Didn't Buy it?? WHY?? $250 is a sreamin deal..
Some of the pins in the mainspring housing fit tighter than others & require a rap from a hammer to remove, I use a piece of wooden dowel to keep from scratching & keep the hammer away from the rear sight assembly.
Also the pistol was designed for the 22lr & the 22long could be shot single shot but this could leave a lead ring in the chamber similar to shooting a 38 special in a 357 magnum, I wouldn't do it being the Longs are more expensive than the Long Rifles, shoot them in a tube fed bolt action..
My Tapered Target does seem to balance nicer to me than the 6 7/8" bull barresl.. It is tapered just a bit larger barrel than the standard 6" MKII..
I paid $300 for this one.. It's one sweet shootin 22..

got the one that was suppose-to be $250 but i ended up paying $300, it's the target model with heavy tapered barrel. the other one had a shorter barrel and was not a target(fixed sights) and had a pretty good amount of wear on it.
though I'm curious, what's the Best(for the gun) to keep it? Cocked? Uncocked?
I'm using a .22 rifle boresnake to clean it along with Hoppes 9 solvent.

and to BerettaPistols, that's exactly why I grabbed it now, I'll be running a tight wallet until my next check comes in but with overtime I should've made out nicely.

Alot of the bolt stop pins on the mainspring are tight..
Something wooden or nylon will get it out with a few blows from a hammer.
In fact you may have to use the same technique to get it back in..
