MK II question

I just stopped into my local GS and they have a MK II for sale with the box. SN 222-979XX, 50 year anniversary, standard model with a 4 inch barrel and it's in great shape, no rust or pits that I noticed. Just wondering what it might be worth.

OK, thanks for the replys. I know that they're asking $350 for it and they will come down on price for me. So I'm guessing that if I can get them to come down to at least $275 that it'll be a fair buy. It also looked like a 5 inch barrel but the GS said that he thought it was a 4 inch. And I don't know enough about any of the MK's to know the difference. If I get it, it will be my first MK.

They are 4.5" I think; just like any other standard model. I have one NIB put away, and two I shoot. Great shooters and a high polish blue that is nicer than the standard. Under 300 is a bargain. 300 is about "good deal" going rate, and over 300 by more than about 25 is too much when you can get them with a little shopping for 300.

THE factory short barrel for the RUGER STANDARD 22 PISTOL is 4 3/4" in length from bolt face to crown.......give or take the odd furlong.....

I got it. It came with an extra mag. but no paperwork with it. It doesn't even look like it's had a round through it. So far I've only seen one little mark on it by the SN. It's in good enough shape to be a safe queen. Now I can't wait to get to the range to shoot it.

If it is like my two 50TH ANNIVERSARY pistols it'll shoot a bit to the left. Tap the rear sight a bit to the right and put it dead on the money. There are NO sights better than FIXED sights IF they are fixed in the right place.
