MK II 22/45 upper on MK III Standard Lower ??

I want to get a MK III Standard Lower for my MK II 22/45.
Any issues putting an MK II 22/45 upper on an MK III Standard Lower
Fitting issues?
Compatability issues ?
Direct swap?

I’ve not messed with MK-III’s much, but I’m 99% it’s just a swap.

I had to do a LOT of fitting to mount a series 3 standard upper on a series 3 22/45 grip frame.

I’ve put a bunch of III uppers on II lowers. Sometimes a 22/45 to standard will require a little attention to the front end hook. Apparently the 22/45 hook isn’t quite as deep as a steel frame, so they can be tight.

22/45 upper to a metal frame is not interchangeable without fitting of the front lug! Takes a bit of work !!

Sometimes. I've had some swap right over and others take a little bit.

If it needs fitting, is it a pain to do?
Hand tools do?
I am pretty handy doing my own work.
Just don't want to spend a few hundred dollars for a frame and it not work out.

Yes, hand tools if required. It is just the thickness of the upper, or the gap in the hook. Whichever you prefer to work on.

No issues putting the upper on the Mark III frame but you'll need Mark III magazines for the Mark III lower.
