Looking at a 22 auto Believe a MK3 3inch barrel slab side . I think it is in the wrong box. Serial # 228-020---. Can anybody tell what model this is.

I don't recall any factory barrels under 4"

I did see this Mark IV on rugers website with a 3 inch barrel.

Yeah, Ruger didn't make a MKIII with a 3" slab side barrel. Shortest MKIII slab side barrel was 4" on the model number 10102 catalog number P4GCMKIII. Looks like your serial number could be it that range. Look it up on Ruger's web site.

Took everybodys advice it is a model 10102 4 inch slab side mk 3. Any idea of value?

At this point most MKIIIs aren't very collectable and a lot depends on condition and if it has everything with it. This is also the cheapest MKIII Ruger made. On the other hand they only made the 4" model the first year, then went to a 4.5" barrel, so there are less of them. I would think $400ish if it's in like new condition; down from there.

You must have a different edition than I have. Mine is the Fourth Revision and the MK 1 targets are on Pages 10 - 13.
