Anyone know for sure if the SR9c holster on shopruger.com is made expressly for the compact version and not the SR9? (or SR40) I'm considering buying one, but don't want any excess "baggage" at the bottom of the holster. Anyone actually own one of these? Thanks. Hurry, this is going to be my Christmas gift to ME.

edit: just called shopruger site and was assured by the sweet-young-thing who answered that these holsters are indeed made only for the SR9c. Somehow I wasn't totally convinced, so I'm leaving my question as asked. Any actual owners?

I bought the Mitch Rosen holster for the SR9c, and yes, the holster and the bag it comes in are marked SR9c. There is not a lot of extra leather hanging below the barrel.

Thanks, Jerry. How do you like it for cc and workmanship? Looks good in the pics. Any comments appreciated.

I also purchased this holster for my SR9c a while back. I like the way it looks, fits, and works!

It effectively holds my -c for EDC, and it keeps it well under cover when wearing even just a long T-shirt.

While it's not exactly a "custom" job, it does work well, and besides.. it has that cool Ruger Eagle embossed (stamped?) on it!!

Just my .02! 8)

OK, you convinced me. Going to order mine now. Thanks a lot. Hope they have a lefty in stock.

I'm about to order one but before I do, I have one question.

Are they brown brown or do they have the reddish brown hue that I see on the website?

I'm wearing my sr9c in a mitch rossen right now...great holster! I originally bought the one for the sr9, It was long for the sr9c, but it did work. Recently I saw they had the one specifically for the sr9c and Ruger let me exchange it even though I had it for more than a month. Great customer service by Ruger. Very pleased with the sr9c and the Mitch Rossen holster!

You all got me wanting to look..

It appears that same holster is for sale on Mitch Rosen's web site for $145. I don't really need one, but I might just buy one for the price Ruger is offering. Looks like great quality and I'm sure it will last longer than the Done Hume I'm carrying now.

Just received the Mitch Rosen holster for my SR9c. Very nice leather work, perfect fit, VERY tight retention and a forward cant of at least 15%. It rides a little lower than the Don Hume I was using, but still high enough to conceal under an untucked shirt. It also pulls in very tight to your body and does not print. Unless you pay big bucks for a custom holster, this is about as good as it gets.

I used my 20% discount from registering my SR9c when new, so the price was only $59 plus shipping. I highly recommend.

you got a 20% discount for registering your SR9c? I will be needing a few more mags and 20% is tempting...

I bought mine a month ago, do you think that is still new enough? How long is the 20% good for?

That's about when I bought mine. You should have a received a product registration card, which also has a web site address for online registration. When you register online you should get the discount code. If you don't get the code call Ruger CS. I'm sure they'll take care of you (I lost my code and they gave me another upon confirmation of serial number, etc.)

I never got mine either, but I checked and the registration did go through. So I emailed them when I ordered a couple of things, and the lady emailed me back, said she would assure the discount was applied- and it was. Nice people there.

Good to hear. I just bought a SR9C from Buds Police shop and will have to order one of these in LH from Ruger.
Hopefully the 20% registration discount is good when it gets here.

Anymore pics of the holster and how it looks?

The 20% has been ongoing for quite a while, it is 20% on orders up to $100.00 though, so the max you can save is $20.00

Mine took so break-in time. I mean it was pretty tight- had to use one hand to hold the belt down and pull hard to get the 9c out. I called MR and spoke to him in person. He was very admant about ONLY MY BELTS ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR USE AS A GUN BELT. I mean almost rude in insisting my Blackhawk belt was very inferior. May be true, but he persuaded me NOT to buy one now. Anyway, he said not to mess with it much, that it may take days of drawing, re-holster, draw, re-hols....but that it would loosen up. He said if it didn't- quick enough- to put the pistol in a couple of grcoery-style plastic bags, leave the pistol in it overnight. I had heard of doing that but wetting the bag first- on the OUTSIDE of course- he didn't suggest that, only the dry bag. It did work, now I have very good retention, but I only need one hand to draw.
