I just picked up a Mini 30 in stainless with a factory grey laminate stock. I was told it was a Lipsey's Exclusive. It's an older 189 series rifle and the box has "TBZ" hand written on it. Not sure if that's the sub model or what. Does anyone have any info on these? If it is an exclusive gun, does anyone know how many were made? Thanks!

Man oh man how do you guys live without RENE?!

Looks like you have a K Mini 30 TBZ, Ruger model 1845.

K = stainless
TBZ = Tree Bark Laminated Stock

189 series were made from 1987 (first year) through 2000 so we need more of the number to get you to a specific year.

189-54396 so 1993.

Was this a distributor exclusive gun?

You'll probably need to get the official factory letter from Ruger to determine that.

Of course there may be some Mini 30 experts here who would know.

RENE says ... and I quote ... (RARE??)

Normally 4 to 5 weeks has been my experience but "these days" ..... who knows?

I think someone said they had a note maybe on their web site about delays due to reduced or work from home staff, etc.
