Mini-14 in .222

You'd be even richer if some of the other high priced stuff sells too. What makes a factory 10/22T worth $699?? Just curious. There is also a forum section to place links to items on auctjon sites...

Thats insane to pay that much for that kind of round! Good for you making that kind of cash on it. You can't hate on profit like that :)

That was a good deal NIB and all. I paid 400 for mine in like new condition with a Harris Bi-pod and new Leupold 3X9 on it. But that was in Miss.-I guess they don't know what a 222 is. The guy I bought it from said that I would not want it because it was not a 223.

That's nuts man...paying $664 for a rare gun that would retail at $881 !!
And they're never going to make any more of those in .222. The auction winner pretty much stole that gun and it will probably end up in the gun rack of some Ford pickup in Missouri.
I see a definite trend in collecting here :(

right on chet, to say I was a little underwhelmed with the price is an understatement. ""It's the economy stupid" James Carville. Sometimes he's right

Yes, but I also think we're losing opportunity to get new collectors into our hobby. Models that were highly collectible 10-15 years ago (I'm speaking of stuff made since 1973) is now not nearly so. An example is the KBN36X with about 300 made in 1975. Bill Ross got it some publicity in his book that was first printed in 1977 and premium box and shipper examples went for $1K in the past. Today I'll bet you'd have a tough time getting $600 out of such a package.
Is not good when great collector guns trade for less $ than what dealers can buy comparable models if newly manufactured.
