Hi Folk's, I'm getting into the Mini-14 game & went to price a Butler Creek folder & found out their discontinued? Read in one spot on the web that their making short runs of them. Can anyone verify that? I'm not interested in a Choate or the AR look. Thank's for any help-Dave

Ive owned the Butler Creek stocks n found it very solid, strong n useful.
I saw one at a show, new in the package, for about 50 clams. Bought it. It is destined for a beater mini 14 I found, as soon as I refinish the metal. Might even do a hot pink/white zebra stripe all-over paint job... ? (This combo will be shades of grey to most game animals).

Dang! That's a steal! I've looked all over the internet & no luck-except ebay. A couple on GB at goofy starting prices- I'm not much for the auction thing. Might see when the next gunshow in Ft. Worth is-Dave

Thank's for the reply Blume. I've kind of based my opinion on the Choate folders upon the reviews I've read. + l like the looks of the BC. Truth be told the only consistent negative on the Choate is the forend is reported as being kinda flimsy. I hope you don't mind if I ask if you have a Mini with a folder? If so how comfortable is it to shoot? BC no longer makes their stock, so availability is a factor. Thanks for any help-Dave

There was a Mini 14 Folding stock, with box, papers, and extra magazines for sale at my LGS. Excellent condition. I will call tomorrow to see if it has sold.
