I am considering buying some bulk .223 ammo in stripper clips. What have you found is the best way to load mini-14 magazines from stripper clips? I have 5- and 20-round magazines. I'm really not interested in something that can make me load a million rounds a minute or anything like that, just something that isn't annoying to work with and gets the magazines loaded correctly.

Thanks,

SR

I have never been able to get a stripper clip to work on any of my SKS's .... I think you have to join the chinese army to learn how to use these.... the only other experience I have is with an M1 and my father showed me how to do those....

honestly I think you can try to jam them in and strip them off but I have a feeling it is going to be easier just to unload the clips and reload the rounds in the mag one at a time.

Depending on the ammo purchased, you may receive a stripper guide that fits on the mag to make it easier load.

CDNN has some stripper clip guides for the mini14 magazines. They don't show up very often, so if you want one you should get it before they disappear. The ones for the AR mags won't work.

Thanks. I just ordered 3. They just have to ship them across town for me.

The Mini-14 StripLULA works fine with stripper clips or loose rounds:
