Mark IV Reassembly after recall

I received my pistol frame back today but the safety, I assume it is the safety, is sticking up and not allowing me to reassemble the pistol. Please forgive my ignorance. Anyone else have this issue?

Is the new magazine still in the grip? That can hold things up, also...welcome to the forum!

Thank you! It was in the grip and I ejected it.

I registered my MarkIV for the recall but have not received the prepaid shipping container from Ruger. How long did it take for you to receive yours?

Probably six weeks before I got a box and then about a week for the turn around time

I got my SS Target Mark IV back and it seemed tighter than before when reassembling it. I was doing it without the magazine in it and it was still hard to do at first. I messed with it and it got better, but the first few times, I had to push in the rear release button to get it to engage with the barrel assembly. Or I'm just getting weaker in my old age. :shock:

So new and improved wasn't so much. I'll stick with my MK I. Never had any problems putting in back together. And the trigger is better than the newer MK's
