With current unavailability of ammunition & high prices when you do find it I am thinking a laser trainer might be a good idea. I've been looking around a little at the laser trainer systems. Has anyone here used Mantis X or any of the other systems. If you use something else & like it I would like to hear about it. If you use Mantis X & like it I would like to hear that too. Also if you have had a negative experience with one of these systems please reply. Most of the reviews I have found seem to be positive but more feedback is always good.

Sorry, I'm just one of those paranoid people that believes any new app for my
phone is a security risk.
But then again, I could go to Consumer Cellular, get a second phone, put ZERO
personal data on it, and then put all the apps I want, on there. :shock:

Now for a post that actually answers the question you were asking.
My brother has the system. It’s a blast! He bought one for himself after his department (he’s an officer) bought one for training. The thing I liked about it is that it tracks all of your movements and will draw a line following everything that you did. What you can do with that info is great. If you can justify the money on one, I would recommend in a heartbeat. I will probably be getting one as well, it’s great for those rainy snowy winter days.

Don't we all have an old phone or two lying around? I use them long enough they are worthless on the used market and won't donate them just because I don't trust erasing all the info will work.Pat-inCO said:

Bought one a couple of years ago. Improved my pistol shooting greatly. Well worth the money for handgun training and also allows me to practice in the living room while the wife watches tv.
