Blackhawk
Well, I hinted a little bit about this on the Texas shoot thread, but I figured I'd make a post to let everyone know what's going on. I know I haven't been on the board much lately, but at least a few of you still remember me
The family and I are going to be moving to Wisconsin. A guy I used to work with is now a recruiter/headhunter, and without even trying I managed to find myself with a fantastic new job. From the first phone call of "Hey, I know you're not looking for a job, but..." to the job offer was less than a month. I start in less than two weeks. It has been an absolutely crazy last three weeks trying to get our house listed, working through the transition out of my old job, and figuring out what we're gonna be doing up there. Liz and I just got back last night from a trip up there looking for houses (with no luck at all.)
I'm still having moments where I think I'm crazy for leaving my old job for the new one, but I'm going to work for a good company, my new boss seems like a great guy (I already worked with a lot of people that have known him for a long time), they made me a fantastic offer and are covering relocation expenses, and I will be back home and close to my family.
I just hope I don't go totally crazy in the next two weeks. On top of all of this, I've had to deal with issues from a tenant in my rent house that had been a perfect tenant for three years, my lawnmower and trimmer broke down, my truck broke down, and the heating element in our water heater burned out. I could use just a little bit less excitement in my life right now.
